INTRO

I developed a narrative ideation platform I helped research, prototype, and build inside The Walt Disney Company's Studio Technology team — built to support creatives through the earliest stages of the storytelling process. Starting with independent research and early prototyping, I coordinated the path from a solo concept to a company-funded development effort alongside the team. My background in UX and game design gave me the instinct to know what to build — and the production coordination skills to actually get it there. What you'll see below is my own homebrewed tool — a fresh experience inspired by the same design thinking, built independently for experience designers.

What I did

What I did ·

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.

    Self-Initiated Research & Discovery

I identified a gap in how creatives were managing their ideation process and started researching independently — building the early case for why a dedicated tool was worth pursuing.

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and half circle lines.

    Rapid Prototyping & Delivery

Using Cursor and Base44, I rapidly prototyped and iterated — bringing early working versions to the team to align around. That prototype became the foundation for securing company-wide funding and scaling the tool into full development.

    UX Research & Iteration

Worked alongside creatives and the team to translate ambiguous needs into an intuitive interface through tight feedback loops and iterative design — continuously refining until the experience felt purposeful and production ready.

  • Production Coordination & Pipeline Development

Coordinated deliverables across design, engineering, and creative stakeholders while contributing to new internal production pipeline development in parallel with active platform work.

REFLECTION

This project has taught me what it means to see a problem no one else has named yet.

To build something real around it, and bring people along for the ride.

The problems it solved for storytellers aren't so different from the ones Imagineers face every day — and that's exactly why I built this version.
